Mr. Kalsi, DCS's president, credits Fred Carl, president of Viking Range, for presenting him the challenge that would eventually culminate in the formation of Dynamic Cooking Systems. "He came to me in the mid-1980s, when I was VP of engineering at US Range, and he challenged me to delvelop a commercial quality range that could be certified for residential use, " he says. "I took that challenge and DCS has since become an important competitor in a market that created itself.
The result can be seen in the factory, now located in Huntington Beach, CA, which is bursting at its seams and operating on three shifts. That the company can't produce enough product fast enough is an understatement.
